OVERVIEW
"Imagine a world without air” served as the conceptual foundation for my Nike Air Max Day project. I designed an AR-enabled exhibit and interactive print piece that deconstructed Air Max technology using 3D modeling to create an immersive, personal storytelling experience. Completed within one week, this project pushed me beyond my comfort zone while strengthening my skills in AR, 3D modeling, and communication. Ultimately this project challenged me to rethink how print and emerging technology can connect people to products and brand stories.
PROBLEM
Communicate the technology inside Nike's newest AirMax sneaker.
SOLUTION
This project came with a tight three-day timeline, which meant quickly teaching myself AR and 3D modeling to bring the concept to life. Reading through Nike's brief, I thought carefully about who would actually be viewing the work: co-workers, not the general public. That shifted my approach — since I'd be introducing them to emerging technology, it felt important to show what was happening inside the shoe, not just the surface design.
The exhibition itself only ran for one night, so I needed a medium that could outlast the event. I designed pamphlets attendees could take home, each with a QR code linking to an AR experience — letting people explore the shoe's inner construction long after the exhibition ended.
