Problem

For many single parents traveling with young children, the airport experience is often stressful, unpredictable, and overwhelming. Logan Airport faces the challenge of creating an environment that not only eases this stress but also turns family travel into a positive, repeatable experience. Our goal was to build loyalty and stand out as a family-friendly airport.


Logan needed kids to feel excited and for parents to feel confident.


Research

We were torn on who should we focus on. The parent, or the kid? We took this into our research phase and realized a couple things. One, parents want an extra set of hands. And two, they just want their kids to have fun.


Boston Logan is well known for the business traveler however it is not known to be family friendly. After our research phase we decided to create a product tailored for both parents and kids that allows parents to join in on the fun, while feeling more supported by Logan.

Solution

Logan Kids is s physical push cart an app extension of Logan's existing app designed for single parents and children. It transforms stressful, unpredictable airport time into a playful, story-driven adventure that keeps kids engaged and parents organized  from curbside drop-off to the boarding gate.


By combining customizable carts, smart packing tools, and in-app rewards, Logan Kids makes family travel easier, calmer, and more memorable  helping Logan Airport stand out as a family-friendly choice that parents want to use again and again.

Our solution uses an E-ink car wrap that is able to be applied to our carts. Parents connect their smart device to the cart and families watch as their cart transforms into their design from the app.
